Hi everyone. Have you heard of the book “The Shack” . . .

. . . by William P. Young? I am currently reading this book and would enjoy hearing what others think. It’s a profound writing that wrestles with the question, “Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain?” I invite others to read along with me and discuss our thoughts, questions, “AhHa!” moments. Let’s talk!!!!!!

  3. Hello Everyone,

It is my hope that this blog will give us an opportunity to discuss thoughts concerning our faith journeys. If you have a religious subject you would like discuss or need answers to faith questions, just blog me and I’ll see what I can do. 4. I just finished reading “The Shack” and it is very eye-opening. Makes you do the best you can at putting your own life in perspective. As to not reveal a lot of information, the conversations with God are awesome, thought-provoking and even somewhat scary. Looking forward to discussions!

  5. I am through reading “The Shack”, and am on my second time reading it. I was thinking about writing a book report. That’s a good idea, we should all write book reports. I think it is an incredible story; I like/love El….papa. It is a good start to good times that we can all share together. Good idea Pastor!

  6. Hi Linda-
Suspect you are enjoying yourself in the sunny weather in Florida. Again, I felt as if you were talking directly to me in your sermon on 28SEP08. I had another seizure last Thursday. It shook me to my core. I felt as if I was tasting something metalic in my mouth. Seizures are bad news; don’t know why I had one again the last big one I had almost took the life from me. You all know what I am talking about. I feel as if I can share any thought or feelings with my church family. I love you all and appreciate you all for your past prayers for me and my recovery. I asked my mom if I could move back home and she said she doesn’t think I am ready yet. I want you all to know something. I will NEVER drink alcohol or do Drugs ever again. You can take me for my word it is my bond. Thanks folks!
    Sincerely-
    Alan Ward Monteath

  7. Hello Linda-
Ben Frink asked Lisa Miller and me to help Kevin with his learning the guitar. Lisa said that starting in January that the two of us are going to meet with Kevin after the worship service to freshen him up on the guitar. He said that he knew how to play ‘Silent Night’ It would’ve been cool for three guitarist to play that powafull hymn. I finally got to go back to church last Sunday and this one coming up on 28DEC08 and finally on 04JAN09. I have been going to a new church in Goldsboro; Freedom Baptist Church when I do not get to come back home. This Christmas has been really nice for me. My Mom and Stepdad got me a full sized keyboard for Jesus’ birthday.
